Great tripdown to San Juanico. Amazing offroad runs and some fun surf.

@Nimrod did you drag surfboards along with you or rent?

I've been trying to figure out the best way to bring a 7'6 and a 8'6 with me. ( Can't do and over the bed rack due to bypass rack and 2 tires up config.

I'm worried about whatever rack holding up to a serious beating. I'm also considering getting a couple soft top or tuflite boards so I don't risk breaking any of my favorite traditional boards before i even got them in the water.

We took soft boards, the hotel had hard boards, and we have a buddy down there with a 11’ soft top and some nice hard boards. Everyone was able to ride the big soft top. All the wives even stood up and surfed. Great time.

I think Thule has bed rail mount system that is removable and gets the boards up high.

    Here’s a link but they’re pricey.

Here’s a cheaper option by Yakima.
