Hello, I am new to this forum. I have just recently purchased a 2013 Raptor with 77k miles. Both driver and passenger side rockers have rust issues. I included pictures of the driver side and was hoping to get some ideas as to what my options are. The metal is still solid (no holes). I was quoted between 5k and 6k to replace.

Welcome to the place. I bet if you grind that down there will be a couple pin holes, if you are lucky there won't be. Not sure how talented you are, but if you remove the running boards and sand that area down and prime it and then rattle can it, it should last you a bit. You need to flush the inside of the rockers first, I bet the factory duct tape is missing on the inside where the running boards mount to. You will need to spray with fluid film or equivalent afterwards to help stop it from coming back. Or spend the 5k and then do preventative maintenance after that.
