Has anyone ran into problems installing RPG TIE RODS. I just install new uca's, shocks, eibach springs, lower ball joints and the RPG tie rods.

Issue I'm having is the tie rod isn't articulating fully and it doesn't let the heim join line up with the clevis unless some one puts some weight on the truck to lower the steering rack....

I got in contact with RPG and they are sending me new knuckle heim joints.

The picture shows the tie rod maxed out on travel hight

Looks like its hitting the misalignment spacer. Hopefully they are also sending the correct size spacer.

I have all the parts to redo my entire front suspension. I researched the everliving kr@p out of it. Was wanting new UCA's with heims, but after reading a TON, decided to go with OEM UCA's. Apparently heims need constant looking after and replacement after a year or two. I didn't want to have any issues, so I skipped them. Those billet UCA's looked darn nice, though.

Yeah I understand they need a lot of maintenance but I've never had any on any of my vehicles so I figured why not try them out on the Raptor lol....and I had hell pushing in these APEX lower ball joints...I tore up the ball joint press

I lube everything up every 5K miles when I change the oil on the truck, I also lube my built front end.

Unless you're hammering your truck in the dirt for thousands of miles per year, UCA uniballs and heims are usually a non issue. I had my previous UCA on my TRX for three years and all heims were still tight. That said, there are a few companies making ball joint billet UCA's now for people that want the corrected geometry without the maintenance.
