Hey folks. Thanks in advance for your helpful insight. I have searched this subject and haven't found an abundance of material, so I'm throwing this out for current suggestions....

Who makes a rock slider/rail for the Gen 2? I mean a real one that connects to the frame and could support the weight of the truck.

I have seen the N-Fab product: https://n-fab.com/rkr-step-system/2018/ford/f-150

The Smittybilt M1: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Smittybilt...iders-for-Ford-F-150-Super-Crew-/401381285317

The ADD: https://www.addictivedesertdesigns.com/ford-f150-super-duty-side-steps-S1580027001NA/

The Ford Performance: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m16450f15rab/overview/

None of these connect to anything but the body mounts the stock solution uses. I have already bent my factory boards and I need something that offers more robust protection. Is there anything out there that is a true frame connected rock slider/rail?

Not sure if this is of any help but I can at least chime in with my experience thus far with the ADD Rock Sliders. I've had no issues with them and personally love the look of them. I've only done light off roading with them though so can't speak to how they hold up under more extreme conditions.

The ADD sliders are body mounted. I have them on my truck. They are built well but I wouldn’t depend on them like a frame mounted slider.

We built these sliders for my brothers F150 FX4 Ecoboost that are welded to the frame. Could of been bolted, but he wanted them welded. I’m in the process of designing me a set.

Those look high and tidy....also looks like it would be a pain to bolt on something on the left side with the fuel tank there...
