Getting ready to install Fog light kit and wondering if anyone has info on the Rough Country lights? The RC lights are a third of the price of the Rigid. All the dealers are pushing the Rigid but I've seen pretty good reviews on the Rough Country.

The RC lights are great for what they are. A nice inexpensive set of lights. They are not the brightest, they are not the best quality, but for a fraction of the price of say a set of Rigid or Baja Designs you get a complete set of lights, brackets, mounting hardware, wiring and a 3 year warranty. We sell a ton of them and for most folks that are more interested in looks and can live without extreme brightness, they work great. We particularly like their amber backlit set.

Yes, this is more for looks than functionality! Go to the mountains once a year so they won't be used that often. Thanks for the input!

Grab a set! The amber backlighting looks great with the Raptor's amber DRL's and marker lights. And they put out decent light for those few times when you're in the mountains.

If you were only choosing between those two... I'd go with the Rigid Radiance kit. The Rough Country kits are cheap, for a reason. A LOT of people complain that they fail after a year or two. They get water in them, lenses fade, etc...

The Rigids are better quality. They are still not expensive kits.

If you want a GOOD kit. I'd say spend a bit more money, and go with the Baja Designs or Diode Dynamics kits. you get a LOT more for your money with those.

BUT the Rigid Radiance Kit has a starting price of only $549 so it's not bad. Actually, right now we're having our 4th of July Sale so the price is actually $474 on the Rigid Radiance Kit.

Our kits include 3 pairs of lights, our raptor-specific harness that we designed AND the KR Off-Road mounting brackets (stainless steel, powder coated, made right here on Long Island... basically the best brackets money can buy).

The lights in my bumper and the light bars behind the grill are Rough Country, and so is the small light bar on the back of the truck. I’ve been happy with them.
