I don’t think that warranty is going to pan out for you, the exclusions are blanket and don’t give you an out for cause. It’s basically a binary exclusion, you either have excluded modifications (any) or you don’t. They could deny coverage on anything that didn’t come with the vehicle. Don’t waste any money pursuing that avenue, IMO.
Alright, so I stopped by the dealership yesterday to tow the truck out. I saw the phone number of the technician rep from ford co on the service advisors number & I gave him a call.
After back and forth for about 20-30 mins, he mentioned that he is not sure why the CSR rep told me that the repair was denied due to the intercooler and cold air intake, he himself said that there’s no way that would cause engine failure to this extent. I guess they’re still looking in to help me, I just don’t know if they’re gonna pay for it in full or partial. But it seems like we’re headed in the right direction.
Also I was misinformed about what failed in the motor. It was actually the crank shaft, rod & bearings that broke.
