You can and I have with my Massimo. Real issue is making sure you adjust the input power sensitivity on the fridge in the 12 volt settings to not trip when voltage gets lower and it deems unstable. My fridge pulls about 50w so i keep in the bed under the tonneau and ran wire through the frame rail to under hood and when I leave the truck i plug it into the rockpal generator to ensure its stable

You can use the plug on the backside of the center console but it is not a viable long term solution. 3 or 4 day weekend? sure, but if you're planning on longer you want to have an extra battery, solar panels and hardwired in with quick disconnects. That is how I had it set up in my Land Rover. The solar panels do not need to be permanently mounted. You can buy those sheets of solar panels and lay them over your hood or even just on the ground.

Exactly this. To the OP just depends on your needs/goals/length of trip/etc.

Also I'm all about buying goodies and whatnot for your car, but people underestimate the power of a vacuum insulated cooler like Yeti or Rtic and some dry ice on the bottom.

ARB is pretty much the standard in fridges, but Dometic makes a good product too. I bought an ARB only because I got it like 40 percent off during the closing minutes of a 4 Wheel Parts expo back in Hawaii! The newer ARBs are a bit spendy but they're probably worth it.

Nice. I’ve been going back and forth between the Goal Zero vs Jackery power stations. In the group I camp with there are several of each. Seems like the Jackery has outperformed the Goal Zero (very limited sample size, I know).

Goal Zero is just the big box brand. Everyone knows them. Heck I have a bunch of their stuff, but if you find something works better go with that.

I had a small portable camping refrigerator, I can’t remember the make. After using it once, I realized it was too much to hassle over. A fuse burnt out on the first trip. I now have a yeti cooler, which is nice and no hassle. Also if your in bear country you can throw the cooler in the box.

I would only put my food in a bear proof cooler if I ventured into bear country.
