Rebuild Gen 2 with V8 Conversion & 5-Link or Gen 3 for $25k-$30k over MSRP.........

Keep Gen 2 or Buy New Gen 3 at around 125,000 Miles?

What type of power could the Gen 1 v8 make if it were ported polished and bored a bit with the S/C and what price would that be?
Livernois charges $20k for just the bored/stroked long block alone, never mind a supercharger kit. And you’re still stuck with a very heavy engine, a SOHC valvetrain that doesn’t breathe, and almost non-existent aftermarket support. You could buy a complete 5.2 S/C crate engine for less than it takes to try and match that power with a 6.2.

Great job /Kudos justifying some of the upgrades as maintenance. Sounds like me convincing myself that it’s just rounding. Even if it’s rounding up 99%

What about sell the gen 2 and pick up a xl/xlt/etc 5.0? add 10k for supercharger and whatever 30k gets you in suspension/fender mods.

That truck is badass!! Really excellent video, thanks for sharing.
He builds some very nice things.. there's a couple of videos of the build in process of the rear suspension with some of the other projects in the shop..

just got his laser tubing cutter up and running so i think that's a game changer for these guys that build a lot of things on the computer.

He was doing shop videos every Tuesday for awhile..
