The Gen2 does not support locking the rear diff when in 2H.

I've seen that exact statement several times and always chuckle...There is no "2L".....

Yes huh. All you have to do is pull the front axleshafts.

My old 85 Blazer in high school technically had 2L. Put in in 4L without locking the hubs. Only way to get it to spin the tires lol.

Can you just disconnect the vacuum to the IWE.

It works backwards of that....The IWE is spring loaded to the default of locking up the hub for 4wd....vacuum unlocks the IWE....
