Hey everyone,

I’ve got r1 concepts forged big brake kit with electronic park brake on the rears on my 2019 build. Also have Currie full floating axles.

We have been having issues with rear brakes dragging and warping the rotors over time.

When we dug into it, we found the rotors warped and the brakes severely out of alignment. And calipers dragging even. We had the rotors resurfaced and they were severely warped.

The brakes have been gone through and aligned within spec, by my buddy who was a big part of the build and has a lot of experience, but is not a brake specialist or even mechanic as a day job. Way over my head.

Well after all this and about 500 miles of no issues, the noise is back and the brakes are getting hot again.

Have my first raptor run in march and we trying to figure out what a solution.

We don’t know if there is an issue with the r1 brakes or if there is something else like the axle is not perfectly straight.

Has anyone experienced anything like this with this r1 forged brake kit or anything else?

Your setup is super unique i doubt you will find anyone with the same. That said, good luck finding a solution.

Are you referring to the R1 big brake kit manufactured by Evil Manufacturing? I’m getting ready to do this change over soon and haven’t heard of anyone having your problem. I have been running the R1 rotors and pads for a couple years with no problem but my axles are stock and I’m also a Gen2 with Manual parking brake. If you are having problems like that if it is the brake kit from Evil Manufacturing you might want to reach out to Doug over there he’s a straight shooter and will help outs. Sorry about your troubles!

I have 35,000 miles on my R1s. Saved my ass several times. Never replaced anything yet or see any warping...
