Anyone ever re-foamed the seams after installing new glass fenders?
If so did you go with the $$$ 3M closed cell foam, or just a can of great stuff expanding foam?
my thoughts on this:
-A flexible (vs rigid) foam will likely hold up better as everything moves around slightly so having a foam that can move with it would be best?
-Though probably over thinking, any kind of fire block between the cab and engine bay is always best. But if a fire breaks out not sure the foam between the fenders is gonna do sh*t....lol
-Filling the gaps between seams could likely cut down on road/air noise
-Filling gaps could also likely add some support to those fiberglass fenders and reduce the amount of stress on the couple of mounting bolts.
I am positive that im overthinking this and im sure it doesn't "need" it but just a thought..
