Hello folks,

Just joined the forum today and looking for some advice in choosing a good SVT raptor. My budget is $30,000. Not much offroading expected, just going to be mall crawler so cleanliness is valuable.

Can I run some listings by you folks and get inputs in choosing the right one?

I found two listings that I liked -
  1. https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/1FTFW1R60EFB86391?partner=UEA_1 - This one looks good. But the listing has been out for a year and that worries me. The dealer told me they had overpriced it and got it as a trade in. Now they are taking a loss on it. I got some undercarriage pictures on this and looks good. Can you look at the pictures and advice?

  2. 2010 Fully loaded - This one is not ideal due to the year of mfg, but I like it for the great condition and upgrades.

Let me know if there are any inputs for me.

Thanks!

Unless im missing a significant detail, that 14 is the best deal ive ever seen.

I would buy that if it were in my area and stands up to an in depth review.

I hate my Prius.

If you’re not in a hurry just keep checking crraiglist and Autotrader every other day for new postings. There was a se 2014 ruby red raptor I seen last week in WA for 30k 100k miles thought about it but found a roush raptor for the same price so I bought that

Thanks folks. What do you think about the underbody? I see some rust in there. Should that be a concern?

That is the main input I am seeking for I guess

The main rust I see is on the running board support bracket, which isn't uncommon. Frame and suspension look pretty good from those pics. I would be more concerned about the price - dealers don't just offer 7k below market without some type of reasoning.

Some pictures of a raptor I saw today.

Looks like someone had done a quick spray paint job?

Because wheel wells are so black..

And for this one the history seem to have a big gap. Need to check why that's the case. Dealer told me they overpriced it and now have decided to lower the price for a quick sale.

But will know more tomorrow

The underside looks pretty solid for a 10 year old truck. However, that bed will give you problems very soon.

Also, dealers don't lower the price that much for a quick sale. They may lower it a few hundred to be the lowest in the area, but not that low. If a vehicle doesn't sell, they simply send it to auction.

There are too many red flags here, personally I would avoid.
