@Kmandoske should be able to help. He is in Illinois but you may be able to work something out with him.

i put my TYT9800 face plate up there..the only bad part is the screen is bit hard to read. i put the the radio under the passenger's seat and put an external speaker on top of the dash. really wasn't bad doing it myself, and i drilled the roof for an NMO mount. eventually, ill route the mic cord down by the console..right now the cord is coming out by the sunroof and i use a magnetic phone holder glued to the passenger visor..

ill get some pics for you.

What radio did you go with and how does the face plate mount?

    TYT TH-9800.

It comes with some mounting hardware, but I think we used a piece of angle iron screwed into the plastic support behind the headliner.

I have a similar one from LVJ. Comes with a faceplate and switches if you want more auxiliary lights. Keith includes a template. You simply cut the headliner and screw the mounting plate to the hard headliner plastic. Run the phone cord to the base unit. Base unit to the battery and to your antenna. Holds up to great abuse.
