Question:In the Gen 3 truck- What does the wiring harness in the back of the rear view mirror do?

It’s a moderately sized plug. Is it just for the auto-dimming feature? I was contemplating adding a video rear view mirror and was curious if unplugging that harness would cause issues. TIA!
