I searched for this topic prior to posting. I did not see anything.

I sold my 2024 Raptor to Carvana about 8 weeks ago. In turn, they sold it 4-5 days later.

No one at Carvana ever disconnected my FordPass from my Raptor.

Out of curiosity, I would check each day as they shipped it from their Indiana distribution site…to ultimately Phoenix, Arizona. The new owner hasn’t thought to look at the previous connections.

I could see where he/she drives it every day. I could deduce where they live/work. Technically, I could unlock the truck. I could start the truck. I can honk the horn. Etc.

Needless to say, I wouldnt do any of those things…but a PSA to all, if you bought a Gen 3 Raptor used, please ensure you are erasing previous owners/accounts.

Shame on Carvana for not clearing out my connection. In my opinion, this really represents a huge risk to 2nd owners if the dealership doesn’t clear the connections and/or remind the new owners of the need to do so.

You can do it yourself on the app .
Oh, I know I can…but my point is, the person driving my previous Raptor doesn’t know he/she needs to do so.

I have since disconnected the truck from my App….but again, this was just a PSA for 2nd buyers.

I doubt Carvana could clear it unless they send it to a Ford dealer.

It's not on Carvana to reset the ford pass or do a master reset.

If you are still connected to the truck via the Fordpass app, then more than likely if you saved your home address or any other address in the navigation then the new owner would see it if they looked unless you never added anything or just removed the addresses manually.

Every car I trade in I do a master reset.

Good info...also before you get rid of the Raptor (or any modern vehicle), do a factory reset to erase all "YOUR" saved information...
