Prospective Raptor owner

Hello all,

I'm Jeff and I joined the forum because I've been in the market for a Raptor for about a year now, decided to finally pull that trigger. My current ride is a Jeep Wrangler 4door, which I bought almost two years ago and regretted is about 6 months after the purchase. I was on the fence between a Raptor and a Jeep and since I've had trucks before but never a Jeep I figured why not. Needless to say, my experience with the JK has been lack luster. And plagued with issues.

I'll be doing plenty of research on common issues, what to look for when buying a used one, and all the necessary info I'll need to prepare myself for raptor ownership. I don't mind turning my own wrenches so there's not much that can scare me away from vehicle purchase aside from it being a total money pit(had my fair share of those as well).

Anyway, good to be here and look forward to being a contributing member.

Mind if I ask what issues have plagued your Jeep ownership? I've always wanted to get one, but will be going with a Raptor first since a pickup as a DD is more useful to me. A Jeep would be one of those "fun weekend vehicles" a few years down the road, if I decided to do it.
