Ford numbers will be down by 20% for Q1 so that means less trucks on dealer lots, there will be demand this year due to this semiconductor shortage.

Chip shortage will probably fix itself miraculously when the Chinese go back to work after extended lunar new year shutdown

the reality is...the US is the largest producer of semi chips, but the automakers go w/ the lowest bidder...& the chip manufacturers gravitate more toward the more lucrative biz like smart devices & gaming etc where they can churn out a boat load more units vs autos

it’ll figure itself out- def a good time to wait it out tho if you don’t “need” a new vehicle best not to buy right now

I can say....they (Ford) keep buying aluminum from me so they’re definitely expecting on ramping up production big time once all the supply chains get sorted out
