Going to put on the PL 8250 power tailgate lock, I have seen video's of the wiring ran up driver and passenger side. Is one side easier or preferred? any tips or time savers before I install it? Looks like if you go drivers side not as much trim needs to be removed. I am concerned about breaking tabs off of trim pieces and not being able to reinstall it properly.

Thanks,

here, on frf
on the drivers side you can attach to the oem wire harness and run it into the cab. there is no harness on the passenger side. be careful tightening the bolts on the tailgate cover. they will strip out the threads on the tailgate pretty easy. its the bed side not the bolt side that will strip so replacing the bolt wont help. will have to use a tap and die set with a bigger bolt. other than that its an easy install
