I like my phone as directly in my line of vision as possible. It may not be good looking, but this is the most functional set up that I can find so far that also does not impede vent air flow.

Same here! This is exactly what I have. I think proclip nailed the placement with this mount. I use my phone a lot for business, and this mount provides instant and easy access to everything I need.

I use the scosche magic mount in all my vehicles, I've been using it for three years in my work rig on some rough ass railroad right of ways and the phone has never hit the floor.

Panavise makes good solid mounts (metal) not plastic

I just installed the Panavise dash mount and I'm very impressed. Factory look, rock solid, and no modifications necessary.

Took about 15min, and I'm very meticulous.
