Recently had some body repairs done to the truck and the roof panel was replaced. I'm assuming they dropped the roof liner and now I see a black phone cable that looks like it's coming from the passenger side to the center dangling. It's much longer but I have it tucked away right now. What is it for?

Yeah, looks like the power cable for my radar detector but not sure why it's on the rear window.

I'll chase it down when I go to install the gj motorsports rear brake light. Maybe it was for a rear facing dash cam but the previous ones I've had are USB cables that go to the camera in the back.

Pulled it out, looks like a radar detector cable. It's got a fuse tap wire on the other side but wasn't connected.

Do people run radar detectors facing the back?

here, on frf
there are radar detectors that have front and rear sensors. however im wondering if the cable was for a front facing detector, and the cable just happened to be put in the back when they replaced whatever roof parts.
