Have a 2019 raptor and it has about 1700 miles on it. I noticed driving around the digital oil temperature runs about 210 215 with ford syn oem oil
Now just put in amsoil signature series and oil temp is running 200-205. Any one else have this results.
Only other thing is dealer just did the tsb for valve covers etc
Hope it fixes the smoke issue at start up. So far so good.
Any thoughts on oil temperatures

My guess is the fresh oil change - less friction and heat. I like how quiet an engine gets after a fresh oil change.

That’s a pretty normal temp range 200-220

It all depends oil brand and type but 275 is when I begin to worry on my race car. 250 is perfectly fine and burns off contaminates.

I use amsoil dominator in my drag bike and swear by it. Just was shocked that it lowered the operating temp that much. Amsoil is just better oil.

Oil temp sounds about perfect to me. Say, what bug deflector is that you have? It looks good on your truck.

After a little spirited driving through some twisty off-road fun, I was seeing mid-260’s. Coolant temp hitting 250 as well. Upgraded to a Full-Race radiator and trans cooler. Have a aux oil cooler I just need to make a mounting solution for.

But low 200’s seems to be the everyday norm on the road.

Question - Was the TSB for the valve covers done at the same time as the last oil change? I am guessing that due to the valve cover issue and smoking at start-up that your oil was also low due to the burning of the oil. Now the problem is resolved and your oil is back full again so temp is lower. Just offer that as a possible explanation based on what I experienced with the oil burning with this TSB.

There is a TSB for 2019 for oil burning? Please post additional info
