If I open the tailgate with the remote without unlocking the truck and close (slam) the tailgate, will it set off the shock sensor?

Good question. Will opening the tailgate not normally unlock the doors and disarm the security system? I’ve never tried that to see. Then again haven’t had the truck that long. I imagine it very well could if it doesn’t disarm it.

No you don’t have to unlock the doors to open the tailgate as long as the remote is near the tailgate. m

Well that’s good to know. Now if the FordPass has this button, I could receive amazon deliveries to my truck lol

If you arm it and then open the tailgate and close it, does it trip the alarm?

Not sure if I would be able to test this out. Once locked and armed the tailgate locks. I won’t be able to open and test it.

if I have the fob in pocket will it allow me to open the tailgate? Would have to see. But wouldn’t it disarm as well?

I am looking to add the Vehicle Security System to my 2019 Raptor to add the Impact Protection.

Looking at the above post, the new part # listed is: KN1Z-19A361-A
it is showing up as a system to allow a Remote Start to be added to a standard system rather than as an Impact add-on.

Is this just an incorrect description or does it do both?

KN1Z is the latest version. Check the manual about it below. A remote may get you remote start capability. I have an 802A so only used it for shock.

Confirmed, it does both shock and remote start for users that dont have 802A. I was shocked that Ford offered so much for so little $$$.
