I’ve always been a Toyota owner with my main truck being the Tacoma. The Raptor has always intrigued me and I was close to buying one back in 2018. Fast forward to yesterday, and I found the exact truck I was looking for through some help within this forum. I’m now a proud owner of the 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor in Antimatter Blue. I’m very happy and excited with my first Ford purchase.

Beautiful truck my friend! Love those Recaro seats. I've owned many Toto's over the years, and a load of Fords. I found that the Toto, while a good vehicle, is rather antiquated in ways as Toyota is slow to changing things. Ford (et.al) on the other hand are on the other side of the spectrum. They're always trying something new and adding bells and whistles.
While I can't knock Toyota quality and high resale value, I still end up buying a new Ford these days. (have a 22 Raptor on order since 11/01/21)

Remember this. The service department at any dealership is key to a good ownership experience. Find a really good Tech at your dealership and stick with him. Request him for all your work. Tip him well and treat him like family. You'll find this to be good advice.

Congrats.

I too, am a first time Raptor owner after having had many different Toyota SUV’s and trucks.

With the Raptors, we are getting legit performance and capability, whereas Toyota is way behind in those areas in my opinion.

The legendary Toyota trucks reliability and quality went away when they moved production away from Japan.

I would still argue that the 4Runner, LC and some Lexus models are still among the very best built vehicles, regardless of price.

Unfortunately, the domestic and Mexico built vehicles just don’t measure up.

Ford has build quality very similar to those trucks and you get way better features and capability.

My last truck was a 2018 TRD PRO Tacoma built in TX. It was severely underpowered, the transmission was god awful and felt like we paid extra for “features” that turned out to be mostly just “bling”. It is marketed as the most off-road capable Tacoma, but they put what are essentially all season street tires on it?

Anyway, sorry for the rant and congrats again. Enjoy your new truck!

Welcome to the AMB club! As a former Toyota fanboy myself, I can honestly say you won’t regret your Rap purchase. It’s apples and oranges really.

I love the blue recaro seats. They are so comfortable. They feel very premium versus the stock regular seats.
