Moving Over to the GEN 3 Section

Traded my Oxford White 2017 for an Antimatter Blue 2022 this past Saturday.

The 2017 was one of my favorite rides, which is saying a lot because I've had 30+ vehicles during my time. The 2022 has several features and refinements that I'm already enjoying.

Thank you, I used the Ford Website ("build," then locate), along with cargarus.com and cars.com to find the exact configuration I wanted. There were 4 in the Dallas-Fort Worth / North Texas area that were in transit, and so I negotiated - focusing on one dealership that was the most responsive and fair. It arrived about 8 days after we reached agreement (subject to seeing my 2017 in person the day after the 2022 hit their lot).

What are you noticing that’s different, Scoresman?

Sure, a few initial impressions. The interior has several technology refinements over my 2017: steering wheel controls, dashboard screen, infotainment screen size / Sync 4 new functionality, etc. that I'm enjoying. A better exhaust note, with choices (quiet, normal, sport, and off-road). Haven't put many miles or it or done any off-roading; however, the new rear suspension seems to give it a better ride.

My 2017 was initially valued significantly over KBB, but yes probably. I was more focused on the amount of the check I had to write, in addition to my trade, rather than a selling price or trade-in price,
