NOW AVAILABLE for the Gen2 Raptors are the new Morimoto XB EVO LED Headlights. Morimoto re-did their entire XB lineup and have a new EVO version available. The EVO are really hot right now as not only are they a refresh on the original headlights but you can now get an optional SUPERCHARGED LED Driver, which boosts the output by another 30% - 50%. They also finally integrated a frost-free system in to minimize frost build-up in the winter time.

...but at this price I'd expect (demand) the amber surround be less "dotty" and more diffused than the older ones. Those DO NOT match the smooth uninterrupted amber color of the surrounds like a Gen 3 and looked more "ebay-ish" (ZERO offense to any who have them). Do you have any more info on if they changed the surround?

They look good. I have the first generation . Morimoto's . I suspect they released these because the Chinese factory started selling copies for under $1000 bucks.

All the Morimotos I have seen the surrounds look like a chain of lights versus a single even solid Amber piece like the OEM Gen 3. Are you saying this newer ones do that? Cause the old ones do not. The LED head lamps look great. I just could never get past the Amber surrounds that looking as good as the lamps themselves.

<edit> Saw a vid since I posted this. Looks like they may have updated the surrounds to a more diffused uniform look. Are in the cart while I look around a little more before pulling the trigger.

I have these for my gen 1, still in the box. Been meaning to install for months now, just never seem to be time. But unless I am blind, they don't look like a chain of lights to me..

Eyeballin' the hell out of them... like you I'd like to see some real world pics. For me, daylight of amber running lights. Seems the projectors are tops!

I have the original XBs, they were def better than the OEM ones as far as light output, but these could take the cake!

They are not dropping for a few weeks. It's a new item that's hitting the ports in a few weeks, at which time once the warehouses get them our pre-orders will start shipping.

They are on sale today btw (for Labor Day). 15% off once you add them to your cart. They'll ship towards the end of the month but they look really good and the other EVO's have been getting some fantastic feedback so far, no reason to think these will not get the same feedback.
