Morimoto just announced/released their 2nd Generation XB Headlights for the Gen2 Raptors (and 2015-2017 F150s). This follows their announcement a few weeks ago, upgrading the 2018+ F150 Headlights to a newer version.

Key Upgrades Include
  • More light output then previous generations
  • New startup sequence (mimics a Bugati's headlight startup sequence)
  • Revised interior trim design

Can you elaborate on this a little more?

The original Raptor XB heads used two projectors on top for the low beam, and two on the bottom as a dedicated high beam. The new setup utilizes all four projectors for the low beam and has a dual Bi-LED setup for the high beam. The results? 200% more light output and a better distribution of light for improved visibility in the distance and off to the sides of the road. Asked and answered!

I'm not following what the Bi-LED setup is doing. Does this mean that there is another set of LEDs in 2 (or 4?) of the projectors aimed for high beams?

Liking the upgrades. My bank account is not liking the price.

Bi-LED means they serve 2 purposes. you've heard of bi-xenon right? When you go into high beam mode the reflection changes, illuminating all of the light.

So with Bi-LED, the same concept works. When you flip the highs on, they change intensity and/or pattern. So it floods the light out instead of being fine-tuned.

Output shots are always hard to take videos of, and honestly don't show a lot.

So the video shows the DRL with yellow and white - can you select the outline color now? Or it is either or? Glad I didn't buy the first rev units :)

I'm not 100% sure on that. Most likely the white outlines are for the Gen2 XB's for regular 2015-2017 F150s and they saved time with 1 marketing video.
