If I'm seeing it correctly, just a single ding? I would give PDR a try. $400 seems insane for that ding. But who knows what they charge in CA. I paid $70 a ding here.

Just get touch up paint for the "chips"
Aluminum isn’t the same as metal. So, pdr should be experienced in it. Wait till you hit something before you paint.

Yes PDR works. I have used it on three different cars with great success. Even stood right there and watched them do it. It was amazing. It just melts away in front of your eyes. As long as the paint is not chipped or broken you will never be able to find it. Never paid more than $75/dent in Florida.

I saw one come in on a dealer trade. The truck was a gen2 aluminum body. Same issues. Good paintless dent repair guy-no problem. Couldn't even come close to seeing it again when he was done. If you want it fixed go ahead. Have him do or refer the paint touch up too. You know it bugs you or you wouldn't have posted so just get it done. I know of some great guys in Phoenix. Shoot me a PM if you want details.

Thank you all. For $100 or under I’d like to start with a fresh truck and then put the dents and pinstripes in myself. Especially since I’m still out $4180 on price protection. Dealer obviously didn’t check this over. Wait until my next thread about my crooked tail pipes. You read that correct. Off by about an inch sticking out one side from the other.

As @CoronaRaptor pointed out, the front of the trucks are composite on when 1 and gen 2, and would be shocked if gen 3 was any different. The front includes: hood, fenders, fender flare, fascia. So a PDR, Paintless Dent Repair, probably isn’t going to be able to anything with it.

Also the chips will require paint…..

OP: my personal opinion is touch them up, take the truck offroad and enjoy the thing.
