A "Raptor" is a bird of prey...owl, vulture, eagle, hawk.....

Dodge and their silly T-REX thinking Ford named the truck based on a Dino.

Eh I too prefer the original intent of the Raptor correlation to a dinosaur. Since it's a such a vicious beast, it's more fitting imo
