Ive recently bought a gen 1 with an RPG front/rear end (bypasses/shocks/etc.) Previous owner didnt run front axles to get more travel in the front. The kit is designed to operate WITH the axles so i'll be putting them back on. My concern is, the truck has been run for years without axles in the front. There is a gaping hole on the front diff where the axles hook up to that god knows what got in there. Aside from an diff oil change, what else should I be concerned about?
Itll be some time until I get around to putting the axles in the front (they are being rebuilt by RCV), so any ideas what I can use to cover the gaping hole in the front diff?
