I just had a Magnaflow exhaust installed and it has a pretty big leak at the top of the pictured joint. Is there a trick to installing this exhaust at this joint? No sealing material was used. Any suggestions? It seems to be causing an obnoxious drone at 2k RPM. f6eaa0914ffc3856c4e47a31f6f78748.jpgThanks in advance.

There is no gasket on that joint, so it should seal with the clamp. Is the leak between the two pipes or within one of the pipes? If its between the two, probably just needs to be adjusted: Taken apart, reseated and then put back together. Did a shop do this or was it DIY? If a shop did the install, take it back to them and they should fix.

Thanks! Not sure exactly where the leak is. It was a shop that installed it and I am taking it back soon to adjust. I appreciate your reply.

Turns out the coupling on the MF pipe is not sized correctly so they are sending a new pipe. Hope that fixes it.

Too bad. I am enjoying the Kooks exhaust with resonators. Just the right amount of loud. I think resonators are key with this exhaust.
