I am looking at getting into my next truck! I am a huge ford guy... (previous few, 19 SD, 19 3.5, 15 5.0, 14 3.5..)
i went in to order a 2022... i was shocked at being 20 over sticker plus a year wait or ****..... i walked out frustrated (purchased 7 new vehicles from the same sales team since 2014....)
All previous trucks have been modified....
I am caught in a bit of a triangle! Looking at purchasing a gen 1 and adding a supercharger/apple car play/2 10s, and getting a gen 2 and going full e85/e50, bigger intercooler, adaptive cruise,360 cam...
Truck will be not be perfect, i use my stuff... an 85k mile example is more my style then MINT....
wanting to stay under 50 saw gen 3 markup and moved some $$ around...... surely a 75k mile~ 2017 802A is possible... or a 2012~ with 85k~ for 28~ plus say 15 in upgrades.....(blower 10k) (3k in audio) (2k in random items)
I will tow a trailer with two Can am x3s on it....
Truck will not be a DD, and may see the winter.
I have driven a stock 2013 and a stock 2018... the sound/rumble/fun of the V8 is the draw... the practical assessment of having a 10 year old+ steel body in MN is the draw back.
What would y'all do?
How would y'all go about it?
Wait 6 months? buy now? Wait until the R drops?
