Anyone ever try to bore/sleeve and stroke the 6.2 to make a 427 SOHC motor?

Roush made a 460 for a Trophy Truck.

With these the crank is the issue.

Maybe as they become more superduty junk yard motors going into hot rod projects a less expensive forged crankshaft will be available. Right now it's just billet (from a forged billet) or stock.

A forged crankshaft blank roughly the shape of a 6.2 crank which is then machined would cost less but they need enough orders to justify it.

Going big cubes is big bucks.

If I recall correctly from an old engine builders article the 6.6 is a 4.080" bore (stock 4.015") and 3.82" stroke (stock 3.74") to get to the magical 400 cui. At +0.065 overbore, there can't be much more left in the block. These pistons are custom and the crank is offset ground factory piece.
