I thought about doing a similar winch setup - (NICE - front or rear with out 70+ Lbs hanging constantly over the front wheels) But I'm getting older and having to pickup slide in and remove my winch in a unknown environment would be sketchy for me. I'm getting up there in age. I went with a deer catcher style bumper instead with a permanently mounted Smittybuilt X20 Comp 12000Lbs. I'm in the finishing stages for the bumper right now and should have the majority of the welding done by the end of this month. I also have a SCAB - 25 gallons of gas thus the extra reserve. Next year I'll be driving up parts of some frozen rivers in Alaska and fuel fill ups will be limited. Truck will be heavy and I am concerned. Last time i did that we were on snow mobiles quite a bit lighter and a hell of a lot smarter. I'll be a lot warmer in my truck though.

What in gods name are you doing to the poor truck to think you need a new motor at 110,000 miles?

I don't need a motor at 110,000 miles. I just want a bullet proof bottom end with 700+ flywheel HP that will probably break everything else LOL. I don't want to pull my motor and have the truck down while I rebuild the original motor. Making a 2+ year plan gives me plenty of time to do it. I already have a motor lined up. No pressure because of a sidelined vehicle. 110,000 mile engine & transmission with complete maintenance records is easier to sell that one with no history. It is what it is.
