Goal:
  • Identify and utilize the best detail, PPF and tint professional in the state
  • Perform first wash, decon, compounding, and polishing
  • Protect full front end w/ PPF to minimize rock chips and make washing easier
  • Ceramic coat to make future washings easier
  • Improve Lead Foot paint w/ more gloss and bring out the lighter color vs darker color
  • Darken front windows to provide less contrast between fronts and rears
  • Protect the exterior B-pillars w/ PPF film since the black gets swirls by looking at it wrong!
Products:
  • XPEL Ultimate Plus paint protection film. Engineered to help combat rock chips and other road debris, the clear, 8.5mil (.0085 inches) thick film is designed to deflect rocks and keep your paint shining in even the harshest climates.
  • XPEL XR+ Nano-Ceramic, High Infrared Rejection window tint
  • CS-II Titanium Ceramic Coating is a process that builds a semi-permanent barrier between your paint and the elements. The hydrophobic, high-gloss surface, also blocks UV rays and makes washing your vehicle extremely easy. The surface-specific coatings can protect your paint, clear bra, interior surfaces, and even glass. This titanium ceramic version of CS-II provides and estimated 5-10 years of protection.
Price: Approx. $4k (includes tax)
  • Wash/Decon/Compound/Polish
  • Full front end PPF w/ door sills
  • Two front windows (High heat reject) window tint @ 35% light transmission
  • Moonroof tint (High heat reject) window tint @ 5%
  • Ceramic on all painted surfaces and PPF surfaces
Start to finish was about 2.5 days. Thanks to Mid-West Clear Bra of MN. I highly recommend... if your remotely close to Plymouth, MN.

Looks like a mirror, wrapped around a raptor.

No kidding!
I was going for the high gloss and lighter reflection type look....and they certainly delivered.
Prep work is key IMO.

The detailer indicated the Ford paint is actually pretty good.
He added, that the Lead Foot is quite soft and took more time than normal.
It even needed some compounding in various areas.
