Anyone use the Krown Rust Control or have one of their vehicles done with the hot oil application?

Sounds like a good product but I’d like to hear some real world experiences. I can’t have my Raptor frame corroding away like my (soon to be gone) current F150.

Thanks.

I don't use Krown. I use POR15 on older trucks with rust already present with AMSOIL MPHD over that and everything else under the truck. If the truck is new I use POR15 on the axles, rear differential, driveshaft yokes, etc to prevent corrosion and make them black for good. Then I spray everything with the MPHD. Check out the first link below for a thread here on the forum that shows the benefits of AMSOIL MPHD over other similar corrosion resistance sprays on the market and check the second link below to buy AMSOIL MPHD directly from AMSOIL's website. Takes about 4-6 cans to complete the undercoating process and up to about 1.5 quarts of POR15 depending on current condition. There is also a picture below of the difference the POR15 makes. This is from a Raptor in my shop now. But we take maintenance and undercoating extremely seriously around here.

Does the Amsoil dry or stay flexible? It seams that all of the undercoatings that dry are teh ones that eventually break down as the parts of the frame, etc.. are always flexing.

Nice work, Chris!

It's basically motorcycle chain lube. Kind of like a waxy oil. You can't spray it once and then never spray it again but it does last a long time.

Amsoil MPHD is no longer a chain lube, they reformulated it and now offer a specific chain lube while MPHD is more for undercoating now. No, it will not last forever, it isn't that kind of coating. However, it never needs to be removed unless you just want to do so. Touch ups occasionally may be required over years of time.

That being said, MPHD out performs Fluid Film, check out the link below to a thread from 2012 where members here on the forum provided realistic unbiased comparative testing between MPHD, Fluid Film and others.
