Interesting. But what are the differences between the series KC offers? What is lost with the lower cost series?

also what are the major differences between the flood and spot lights. The lumens appear to be the same and also does anyone know if they last well in the chicago winters?

The lenses are different. The lumens are the same because the lights are the same, but spots and floods throw light in a different "shape." Spots cover distance with a smaller pattern and less spread, floods cover area with a wider pattern and less distance.
