Not many Tuners have the know how, tools and software to build a Tune from scratch from information that is on the PCM.
Clearing the PCM is easy, and a Locked SCT Tune still allows you to see enough vehicle info to build your own Tune.
Livernois is one of them and Livernois uses it's own proprietary software for Tunes, so there is nothing much then can use from a SCT platform.

Not many owners live near a Tuning shop that can tune a raptor and get dedicated dyno time.
If you are the lucky few that do, than yes that's the best way to go.

There are ten's of thousands running the Whipple tune and about two handfuls maybe a bit more that had a problem with the tune.

If Whipple didn't have a record of blower than it was purchased without a Tune.
Who really knows what or who's Tune you had on yours.

I'm glad Livernois got you going though, they are a top notch Raptor Shop that's for sure.

The whipple kits come with a ~160° thermostat, its tuned for it... leave it be unless your going custom tune. The only real down side to this is slightly lower fuel efficiency. The heat exchanger fans are set up to run all the time, it wont hurt anything and keeps the IAT's lower at low speeds. Unless your going to set them up to turn off based on vehicle speed they are good this way. Low IAT are your friend.
