Jumped my new Raptor...

[dchay]

Jumped my new 18 over the weekend... it was freaking awesome! Bent the crap out of my bumper and skid plate. Anyway, can someone tell me what this is? (Pictures) and how important is it to fix? Cheers

Do you have any better pictures of the bent bumper and skid plate from the front of the truck?

Dude..... hard hit.... Nice work. That’s your intercooler support plate. Probably nothing to worry about replacing.

Cheers,
Dave

Thanks Dave

Photo post send... doesn’t look too bad from a distance lol

[TXRaptor]

Yes, I agree. It does not look that bad from the front and as long as the IC is fine, I would not bother to fix the bracket.

No video?

[dchay]

My buddy wasn’t recording when I damaged the front end, and it won’t let me upload any vids... screen shot of the previous jump before I hit the big one

Best way to share videos is to upload to youtube and post a link

Let’s get that video on YouTube! I’d like to see how hard they have to hit to bottom out

This is exactly what I ordered my raptor for. Where are you camping and riding?

Welcome to the Dented Skid Plate Club!

Yeah! I’ve fallen for this truck quickly. More fun and more capable than anticipated. We camped in Fruita, Colorado. 18 Road Trails, pretty epic spot for both desert running and mountain biking

Interested how you have that tent setup in the back of the truck?

Napier Truck tent. My buddy, who owns the sick westfalla, gave me this tent, worked out great.
