First problem occurred for me... And it happened a day after installing the CAI from K&N..

Here is what happened, I install my cold air intake and the truck sounds great and I notice the performance gain. Then I decide to take the boat up to the lake about 300miles.. by the time I get there I notice the check engine light on and a very rough idle and begin to panic. I think WTF its an air filter mod, i didnt do shit.. on the way home the motor is making lifter noises, tapping noises, running very poorly and sounds like a diesel that needs a tune up.

I get home and put all the OEM air system back on the truck. I take it to the dealer and say.. " check engine lights on and its making funny noises"

Two days later I get the call from the dealer and expect him to say. "Hey did you install anything on the truck" But im ready-----deny deny deny.. first law of warranty work.

Anyway... he did not ask about my handy work and it had nothing to do with the the CAI and everything to do with the TSB for the Roller Rocker assembly on the right side.. there was a TSB and they fixed it.. what was the odds of that happening? Well now this weekend I will reinstall my CAI..

TSB 10-25-7. "SOME 2010 RAPTOR AND SUPERDUTY 6.2 ENGINES MAY EXHIBIT A TICK NOISE ACCOMPANIED WITH A MISFIRE, INSPECT ROCKER SHAFT ROLLERS AND CAMSHAFT FOR DEFORMATION AND DAMAGE". 6.2 built between 1.18.2010 and 9/7/2010

I'd say pure coincidence that the rocker shaft issue came along during the same time as the CAI install. The rocker shaft problem has been around for awhile, luckily its not a wide spread deal, but it is a known 6.2 problem within dealer techs.
