GEN 2 It’s too big (wide), probably for even the Michelin Man.

Tried to get my truck aligned after I knocked her around on the last trail assault. The techs are saying that the Gen 2 is too wide for the Hunter Hawk Eye alignment system, it can’t see the sensors. Apparently I need to go to a specialty shop or the dealer, both back logged at least a week. Who did you all use? Ever heard of such issues?

I used the dealer, $100 OTD and they did a good job. Next time I align I'll get Foutz's kit so I don't have to do it anymore. Strangely enough, my big offroad trips never do it, but random spots on the road do.

One of the best threads here on alignment came to the conclusion it is hitting obstacles while hard braking at an angle, and my experience seems to match this. My current misaligned was caused by going over a bad railroad track while stopping hard because of the car in front of me.

My track width with +6 offset 17x8.5s and 37x12.5 tires is right at 87". I took mine to the Ford dealer in my area and they took care of it no problem.

I called NTB and Firestone with the track width info, and they both said they could not do it on their machines. oh well!

Where are you located in Texas? Mine was $109, plus fees OTD...

Wait! I got it for free because I was under 12k (warranty). That said, the latest mailing list coupon said $109, so yeah

OK, cool. Since I added Geisers and Deaver +3s, I doubt they would have covered mine under warranty. (even though I only have 2000 miles on the odometer)

Local dealer charges me $100, I have King 3.0’s, RPG tie rods and Rogue uca’s. I showed them how to adjust tie rods and always tape them before taking it in, they never questioned anything.
