Is Gen 3 37PP Beadlock ring vanity or functional? Any Ford Techs that can help here?

Can someone confirm that the beadlock ring on the gen 3 37PP is functional or not? Looking for someone who actually works for Ford or can show me where it states it either way. Thanks in advance for any help.

The wheel is beadlock capable. It comes with a "beauty" ring that mounts on the wheel. If you want the wheel to be used as a true beadlock, you have to purchase the true Beadlock rings.

See Ford Performance link below. These are the true beadlock rings you buy that can bolt to your wheels to be used as a true beadlock.

Not trying to be a wise guy here, and I appreciate the input, but I did all the research and need to hear directly from Ford or a tech that works for Ford that knows.

@FordTechOne can confirm this I'm sure. We already know of course, but maybe he'll chime in for you.

As Antho said, the wheels are beadlock capable. You have add actual, functional beadlock rings to make them functional. Functional beadlock rings are not street legal (they're for off-road use only), so that should confirm Ford isn't going to put them on the truck.

If you're only going to accept an answer from a Ford tech, then maybe you should direct that question to your local Ford tech, instead of a public forum?

I concur with Antho's explanation, as this is consistent with all of the online research that I have done as well....factory rings are only beauty rings and are not setup or designed to be a functional bead lock ring, hints why Ford sells the beadlock ring for this exact purpose. I believe this has been confirmed in other posts as well.

Well Antho gave you the correct answer. Ford isn't your personal servant here on FRF. Call Jim Farley
Called Ford Performance and they gave me the answer I was looking for lol. Maybe they are my personal servant?? haha
