I had read a thread where a forum member bought F150 interior lights and was able to install them in his Gen3.

I checked my Gen3 doors and I noticed there are slots over the door pockets; under the arm rest.

These look like slots where lights / lens would snap into.

Question:
Can we buy F150 OEM door panel lights and they will snap in?

Is there existing wiring in the doors that you can simply plug in the lights?

Thanks for posting these. I have the parts for the cup holder and the doors, but haven't had the ballz to start removing the panels on a brand new truck. Anyone know of any videos to assist?

Are you expecting it to be plug and play?
Or will you have to splice into the wiring?

I have a complete set of lights from a ‘19 I was going to adapt into a explorer, project got stalled due to life. If someone needs them, they are available, I don’t have the harness kits though. As far as the hook ups, led’s use a pwm (pulse width modulated) signal, it should already be in the doors. You would need a oscope to find it, or, just a wiring diagram

Yes, they are plug and play. I added mine today...... You will need 4 ea M4x8mm screws to secure them to the door panel. They are not the same as what Ford uses, but they worked fine.
