The only concern I would have would be 8+ hours of idle time with ac on in the summer.

While I don't think a 3inch thick intercooler will effect cooling it is something I would consider if I were in your position.

Here in AZ for example, you'll see cops running traffic lights and they have the hood propped open to let the heat out.

I'm not mechanically-inclined but unless you live in northern Canada climates, I wouldn't ever remove a fan. That feels like the opposite of evolution.

Maybe re read that ^^. Intercoolers typically don't have fans on them, in fact, the Raptor is the only vehicle that I know of that has fans on the IC. The reason for this is because the stock location is behind the front license plate and it doesn't get enough airflow even when moving. An FMIC gets tons of air and when idle, the radiator fan(s) will pull air through the FMIC.

Meaning you don’t know what your talking about and are spreading misinformation. If you don’t know how it works why would you chime in? Now why are YOU so angry?

    ninkumpoot
I prefaced my quote with the statement that I'm not a mechanic.
I even used the words 'I don't feel'.
    How is that spreading misinformation?
But removing cooling hasn't ever been positive, meetlet alone when the manufacturer has bolted fans on.

I wasn't angry you ninkumpoot I was contributing to the discussion.
Is nikhsub your sugar daddy? why you defending him. Hasn't handed you the phone 11 max pro plus yet?
Lol come I'll give you one

Haha wow some doesn’t like being told. Entitled much? You basically said I don’t know what I’m talking about, BUT let me make a recommendation that has no basis in fact... that I fact IS misinformation. Maybe next time ask it in the form of a question...
Sugar daddy? Some one just learn a term for your gray haired boyfriends? why are we going there anyhow? Kinda shows you lost the argument I guess.

Sorry but I'm not angry at all! I was just explaining to you why fans aren't normally necessary - and why Ford put them on the OEM IC.
