How many miles before tune??

I picked up a 14 screw last week and i want to put a 5 star tune in it. How many miles should i put on it before tuning it?

You can throw a tune on any time unless your concerned about warranty, the dealer can see if you tuned it if they look for it.

It's a good idea to drive it a bit (I'm at 4000 miles) before you tune. You can get a good feeling of how your car drives stock, how YOUR mpgs are, and you'll have a good baseline "butt" dyno to compare against your tunes.

Or not.

I agree with zboater. Drive it for just a bit, maybe 500 miles. Then you will really enjoy the tune and CAI a lot more. 5star is the way to go. It is really cool to see the difference. Pretty descent difference in the 93 vs the 87 as well. Fun to go back and forth if the more expensive gas doesn't hurt your wallet too much. The improvement in power and shift points is dramatic from stock.
