How do you remove the OEM hood vent on GEN 2 Raptors?

I am replacing my hood vent with CF from Anderson Composites...but I can’t get the damn OEM vent off! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Popcorn in hand....I'm waiting on this as well. Have not found any professional body I trust to do it either. I know it's a job - mostly in the sense that patience and proceeding carefully, are key.

Grip it and rip it approach works. LOL

I don't trust myself enough to try and remove it. I would leave it up to a body shop that has the proper tools since I am sure it has some of those damn clips that break if you look at the wrong.

Other thread says it’s screws and clips all around but an adhesive strip across the rear.

Just saw that...I’m gonna give it a good pull starting from the rear with panel removal tools and see what happens

I had mine replaced with the cf and I can ask my shop if you don't have success

the challenge is removing the tape on the back near the windshield.

Yeah there are several fasteners that you can get to from the underside. Then there’s some double sided foam tape across the edge closest to the windshield.
