Hood keeps opening.

So, I've had my car for just over 2 months with 1600 miles... In that time my hood has randomly unlatched 4 or 5 times. It is still locked down but it is open and I get the 'hood ajar' message on the dash. I close it, then it will randomly happen again... Certainly I'm not the only one?

Happens to my truck when my wife drives the truck and reaches down to release the brake and then does not get out and fix it - does anyone else drive your truck and does that person usually drive a vehicle with a emergency brake release pull lever?

It's happened to me on older vehicles, and the solution is to spray the latch mechanism with brake cleaner.

Speaking about the hood latch, that shit is hard to open from the outside when you are trying to open the hood. I forget if you pull it to the side or up but it's so stiff.
