GEN 2 High Flow Turbo Exhaust Adapter

Am considering a High Flow Turbo Exhaust Adapter for my 19. Surprised I don’t see all that much talk on here about it. SPD makes one, claims 24hp/43tq on a stock set up. Mountain Top tuning claims 20hp/25tq on stock. AMS Performance is cheapest and claims increase 55% internal cross sectional diameter which, if I did my math correctly, is better than the SPD or the Mountain Top. They don’t list gains. The outlet ID is 58-59mm for both the SPD and Mountain Top while the AMS has a minimum ID of 64mm.

Sounds like, for the price of these items, the potential gains are pretty good; even if 1/2 of what they claim, I’d probably still think it’s worth it.

I’m a “one wrencher” maybe 1 1/2 on a good day...haha. This looks like something for someone with a skill set better than I have.

Who would you have install this? Muffler/Exhaust shop? Dealership?

I have these on my '19. It was the first mod I did before the Cobb Stage 1 and then TCM tune. I did notice an increase, even though it was slight, in performance when these were added. Truck seemed to have better throttle response in the low to mid RPM range. I dont have any dyno results and my assessment is not scientific, but from what I could "feel" it was worth it for sure.

They are not a bad upgrade but they’re on the same lines of doing a CAI. These trucks are load based tuned. So on stock tune you’ll still make the same power with maybe a bit more throttle response.

I wouldn’t waste the time or money On these. Just get the freak o boost Turbos from gearhead they go in stock location their Upgradedstock turbos Borgwarner If you want to feel a real difference

I know everyone seems to exaggerate power and torque gains (particularly the CAI’s), but it seems there’s better evidence and Dyno proven that these work and, for the cost, seems a reasonable risk. Just don’t know how much it’ll cost me to have someone put them in. Any guesses?

Yes those are them for the '19's. Either my searching skills are shot or I'm just too tired. Thanks. I agree that they are expensive, but we all have to pay to play I guess. Right now with my setup the way it is, I think I'm pushing more HP and torque than I can handle on the street in an almost 6000 lb. truck. I'll concentrate more on the cosmetic and functional end now.
