I just don't understand why the high beam on the aftermarket lights opens a small slot and lets out only a little extra light instead of opening the entire shield like the OEM light, this is the main thing I'm confused about, maybe I'm just not being clear with how I'm saying it, I thought I was, I know the aftermarkets have much better output

this is the best one IMO (EvoX-R High) light up the hole room. Ironman is this what I'm getting?

Sorry but these are not an option as of right now. The ones I offer or use on my Retrofits right now are the MH1 6.0 projectors.

I got what your saying man, the oem's do have a more open high beam design but that's not always better, Ill try to explain why.

If you drive down a heavily wooded area you can see the oem highs light up everything around mostly the trees. aftermarket projectors high keeps that light focused on the road where you need it. The end result is more lumen projecting down the road and the light throws much further. Im not saying the oem hids are bad, its a huge improvement from halogens and a step in the right direction for Ford.

Again, this indoor test is just to give a basic idea of the projectors properties, it does not really show the true performance. I will put together a outdoor test in the next week or so, that will give us a way better representation of how these perform.

Thanks for actually telling me why they are like that, I thought that might be the reason, so the part of the shield that still covers the light in high acts as a reflector putting what would be unused light back out? Is there any way to make it so the entire shield moves out of the way in high so you have more of a flood light effect for the after markets? I'm planning on having a lot of offroad spot lights, and I'm thinking the headlights would be able to work better as my floods
