Never heard of HID headlights until about 2 weeks after picking up my Raptor, which previous owner installed Projector Lights with HID bulbs.

One of the low beam bulbs was out when I picked up the truck, other was working. Other bulb stopped working about a week ago. The high beam bulbs (separate bulb) still work, accent/ running lights still work.

So I order new bulbs, recieve them, install in 5 minutes each (never touched the glass bulb part), fire up truck, turn lights on......... NOTHING!

The high beam bulbs still work, accent/ running lights still work, NO JOY on low beam bulbs. WTH???!?!

Ideas? Answers? Anyone?

I'll drive the truck until doomsday with no headlights if I have to.

yes. 13 and 14 trucks had hid oem. 12 and older have halogen bulbs. if you have any picturs of the light setup, i would like to see them. but first try the bulbs in the high beam wiring. being aftermarket lights, the plugs should be the same. if not, you will need to find out if theres power to the lights and ballasts

my first thought is going to be the ballasts. with the amount of hid lights we have installed over the years, its very rare the bulb burns out first. usually its the ballast. the cheap hid kits are notorious for this

What's the difference between 35 watt and 55 watt ballast? Does it need to be exact? Or is bigger better (e.g. ok or compatible?) ?

the higher wattage will be a little brighter, but generate more heat. 35 watt is fine. i believer thsts what the oem is as well. but the bulb needs to match the ballast. dont use a 35 watt bulb with a 50/55 watt ballast.
