I am looking at buying new FOX Shock for my Gen 1 Crew Cab. I have done a ton of research and I thought I had the correct part numbers:

Crew Cab Front Shocks - FOX
BL3Z-18124-J front
Crew Cab Rear Shocks - FOX
BL3Z-18125-K rear

In searching this morning, I found these:

Shock Absorber Assembly ASH-501- | TascaParts.com

MOTORCRAFT ASH501 Shock Absorber | RockAuto

Ford Part Numbers ASH-501- or AL3Z18124TA

The shocks linked above are appealing as they are ~$75 cheaper per shock!

Can someone review this really quick and let me know what the correct shocks to order would be and any tips on a places to order would be appreciated as I'm having trouble finding the rears in stock for a decent price.

I apologize as my post was confusing. Those two shocks I linked have a $9 price difference. In looking at the BL3Z-18124-J shocks on Rock Auto, they are 363.79 which is close to a $70 difference.

My question is, what is the difference in part #'s between ASH-501- / AL3Z18124TA and BL3Z-18124-J to justify the cost.

Ford only uses AL3Z or BL3Z prefixes for all the raptor parts. The ASH prefix is either a different manufacturer’s nomenclature or isn’t a raptor part. From looking at the official Ford parts diagram for the raptor, the OEM front shocks start with the BL3Z prefix

Thanks for the reply

The ash501 is an atl part code for the AL3Z18124TA
The alt part code for BL3Z18124J is ash12263.
Both shocks are OEM Ford Motorcraft parts. The ash501/AL3Z18124TA indicates it only 2010 F150. Trying to understand if Ford changed the part code in 2011 and the AL is the same as the BL3Z18124J and would fit a 2012 or if there are truly two unique parts and not interchangeable.
I can only find pics online and they look the like the same part, not sure if that’s accurate or not and can’t find specs to compare / contrast.

Again, appreciate the replies!

AL3Z18124TA relates to a 2010 supercab with either engine. I am not sure why there is a specific shock for 2010, cheaper price tag makes it appealing though. Maybe @FordTechOne has some answers on it.

If he provides a VIN I can run it through Ford eCat and see what the discrepancy may be.

Working on the same project on my 2012 Raptor. I should have a correct list of current part numbers shortly. I can tell you that the rear shock assembly is on backorder however there are notes regarding parts becoming available in 7 to 9 days.
That is through Tasca Ford. Ford Parts Giant is another I've used in the past.

This is my list of item I will be replacing:
2-Front Shocks
2-Front Shock Top Nuts
2-Front Shock Mounts
2-Front Shock Upper Insulators
2-Lower Ball Joints
1-Upper Control Arm RH
1-Upper Control Arm LH
2-Rear Shock Assembly
